GM Investing $2 Bil in Plants – Adding 4,200 Jobs

GM CEO Dan Akerson is expected to announce plans to invest $2 billion in upgrades at 17 plants in 8 states. The news, coming later today, should also create 4,200 jobs - but may also be used to leverage concessions out of the UAW, TheDetroitBureau.com reports.
